Gerry McCormack

Training Manager

Gerry McCormack is a qualified FETAC level 6 trainer and a certified by the Irish Aviation Authority (IAA) as an IATA Dangerous Goods trainer. Gerry also holds qualifications in a range of other specialist courses, including, Air Cargo Security, Lithium Batteries, Fire Awareness, H&S, ULD preparation and Manual Handling. Aside from extensive experience as a Trainer since 2010, Gerry also holds a number of senior roles in industry, including cargo handling (GM – BARC) and freight forwarding (GM – J.P.Jones Ltd). Gerry is with Translogic Limited since 2010 and is the lead contact for all training requirements, schedules etc.

Gerry Clifford (deceased November 2024)

Gerald Clifford was an experienced specialist trainer. Certified by the Irish Aviation Authority (IAA) as an IATA Dangerous Goods trainer, Gerry also consulted on range of cargo related services. These included specific Operations Training (airfreight), Ground Handling, Air Security, Weight and Balance training. Lecturing in a commercial and academic environment, he also worked closely with organisations such as IATA and IFALDA (the International Federation of Aircraft Dispatcher Associations). Prior to training full time, Gerry had a variety of training and key operation roles (at home, the UK, Egypt and Saudi Arabia) working for companies such as Aer Lingus, Trans World, Seaboard World Airlines, Sabena, Aer Turas and Jeppesen (Boeing).
